A 22,000 SF assisted living residence addition and existing facility renovation project with Victorian-era themes and state-of-the-art life safety features. This project had many unique challenges that went well beyond standard construction scheduling practices. As this addition is directly attached to the existing facility, every phase of the construction process and their associated logistics were coordinated on a daily, and sometimes hourly, basis to accommodate the needs of the current residents and staff operations. Each and every task undertaken by construction crews took into consideration a myriad of concerns and issues that centered around the continuation of life safety services, emergency access, visitation access and the general care and comfort of the residents.
